Understanding the Civil Rights Movement in Harford County research project

Harford Community College presents Active Learning and Student Engagement in the Humanities: Understanding the Civil Rights Movement in Harford County, Maryland, a three-year project to engage students at Harford Community College (HCC) in the humanities through primary source research, oral history interviews, analysis of existing oral histories, and the development of a digital exhibition and mobile application on civil rights activities in Harford County, Maryland. The project will deepen students’ understanding of literary works, local and national history, and will broaden community awareness of the role that Harford County played in the Civil Rights Movement.
