CMST 230 Research Paper

You must research a minimum of four academic sources other than the textbook for your paper.  You may also include primary (research experiments that you personally conduct) to complete your research paper. 

Research topics should be chosen from the following nonverbal communication subcodes:

  • Haptics
  • Proxemics
  • Physical Appearance
  • Body Alterations/Coverings
  • Eye behavior
  • Paralanguage
  • Olfaction
  • Chronemics

 Your Research paper will have an abbreviated/modified APA style format that includes the following: title page, abstract page, introduction, body, conclusion, and references page.

CMST 230: Group Communication

This course guide provides easy access to library resources that support the CMST Nonverbal Communication course at Harford Community College.  Locate resources on theory and research in nonverbal communication, including body, facial, and eye messages, artifactual and space messages, touch communication and more.
