Changing America and Created Equal

Harford Community College Library and Hays-Heighe House are proud to host the National Endowment for Humanities' traveling exhibit, "Changing America" from Feb. 18 through March 25, 2016.  Hays-Heighe House will be doing 8 programs related to the exhibit.  Three of those programs involve screening and discussing 3 films: Freedom Riders, The Loving Story, and Slavery By Another Name. The initiative will encourage communities across the country to revisit the history of civil rights in America and to reflect on the ideals of freedom and equality that have helped bridge deep racial and cultural divides in our civic life.

Thank you to The National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association for making this discussion series possible.
